Counting scales are the smallest scales that we have in stock. These are used for recording weights of smaller items for lightweight shipping or inventorying purposes. They have a low profile to easily fit on any counter top or workbench, feature weight capacities of up to 150 pounds, and are precisely accurate to allow for small parts and pieces to be easily quantified.
The way counting scales operate is by comparing the weight of an individual piece against the total weight of all pieces in order to determine the quantity, giving you results in seconds, rather than manually counting for inventory. Start by weighing one piece of the product you are inventorying. The scale stores that data and, after you then weigh the entire quantity of pieces, it will divide the weight of the individual piece by the weight of the whole to determine how many pieces there are in total.
It is recommended that for the highest accuracy, you should purchase a scale with a weight capacity as close to the average weight of items you anticipate quantifying, rather than seek out a scale with the highest capacity. This allows for the scale to operate within smaller increments to give you the most precise count possible. ASI has used counting scales with weight capacities from 37.5 pounds up to 150 pounds, as well as some scales with detachable display pads for mounting on walls or desktops.
